The purpose of this article is to explicate some factors producing three meanings of causative sentences in Mongolian. The causative verbs are formed by adding the causative suffixes, -aa4-, -ga4-,-lga4- and –uul2-, to intransitive or transitive stems. The causative sentences including these verbs have the three meanings, ~suru type, ~saseru type and ~sitemorau type in them, but the differences cannot be understood only in terms of their construction forms. In order to solve this difficult problem, we will use seven parameters in form and meaning to reveal how the three different meanings are generated in the causative sentences.
