Here, Aramid FRP rod/sheet as new materials were used. The results obtained from these experiments were as follows: (1) applying the NSM-AFRP rods method, impact resistant capacity of the RC beams can be upgraded; (2) the proposed NSM-AFRP rods method may be more rational technique than AFRP sheet boding method for upgrading impact resistant capacity of the RC beams; and (3) the RC beams strengthened with NSM-AFRP rods may reach the ultimate state with rods debonded due to peeling action of the tip of diagonal shear
