Fundamentally, the passive and the causative construct different sentences both morpho-syntactically and semantico-functionally. The passive sentences focus the patient, while the causative sentences highlight the relationship between the causer and the agent. However, some passive and causative sentences share the passive meanings with each other. By considering the morphological-syntactic and semantic-functional characteristics of the passive and the causative separately, we will find out what factors work to generate the common meaning of <passive> and what differences the two voices have in them.},
