An anisotropic lattice\ndistribution using staggered arrangement of silicon nitride rods\nand air holes is employed in the core region to increase the\nbirefringence. Optimization of the rectangular core structure\nis conducted to achieve single-polarization single-mode (SPSM)\nproperty. Afterwards, utilizing two SPSM PCFs, in the proposed\nPBS, two orthogonal polarization waves are only coupled to\ncorresponding PCFs with a device length of 185 μm, and the\ncrosstalk-free PBS is
