Many kinds of chemical, for example, medicine like DES, agrichemicals like DDT, paint additives like TBT, plastic material like p-nonylphenol, so on, bring the hormone system into confusion, where related phenomena, for instance, hermaphrodite which has both sexes organs inside one body, sterility (impossibility of generation), feminization of many kinds of animal are described. The mechanism how the pollutant disturbs hormone system is described in the last chapter citing the recent information about internal secretion.
