| 内容記述 | There is a third personal proclitic following any noun phrases in Mongolian. The proclitic, n’, holds eight functions other than the possessive pronoun function as a prototype: anaphora; partitive; agent; conjunct; modality; nominalizer; topic marker; focus marker. Among them the possessive pronoun, the topic marker and the focus marker seem to form a unified group. The purpose of this article, observing a sufficient number of data of n’ in detail, is to explicate the fact that these three functions compose a cline which shows a gradual change from the possessive pronoun to the topic marker to the focus marker. キ | |||||||||||||
