The results showed that more than half of the Japanese medical associations put up studies of medicine as the final purpose, while the majority of American medical associations advocate improvement in the quality of medical care as the prime goal. For this reason, Japanese medical associations are not well qualified to provide certification of physician specialists because the public expect physician specialists not to be researchers, but to be skilled and experienced experts in their specialties.},
