| 内容記述 | Spanish has two possessive adjective forms: one of them precedes the noun which it determines and behaves as a clitic form, while the other follows the head noun and cooccurs with an article. In this paper we present the syntactic structures of the noun phrases which contain possessive adjectives, based on the cartographic analysis suggested by Bruge(2002). Our main proposals are the following: the both possessive adjective forms are merged in the SPEC PosP; and the clitic form raises to D head position due to its feature [+definite], whereas the independent form remains in its original position. With these assumptions, the distributional differences between these two forms are explained in a straightforward way. | |||||||||||||
