The maximum thermal efficiency and the maximum specific power increase monotonously with a rise of the temperature ratio by the suction air cooling, but the rate of increase of the thermal efficiency has a tendency to give the optimum value and that of the specific power has a tendency to decrease monotonously, compared with the conventional cycle. The effect of the reversed cycle (refrigerator) on the normal cycle (heat engine) is investigated.
