外力の作用方向の異なる基本的な実験が二次元平面ひずみ土槽装置と種々の繰返し力を載荷可能な装置を用いて行われた. 一連の実験と解析から, 1) 波浪と構造物の相互作用によって誘発される構造物直下のせん断応力は地盤深さによってその大きさは変化するものの, 完全両振りの条件にある, 2) 波浪のような外力を鉛直及び水平方向に分担させた試験では, 通常の室内繰返しせん断試験と同様な結果の整理が可能である, 3) このような繰返し力を受ける構造物支持地盤の動的力学挙動を評価するには, せん断応力と外力の作用方向の適確な把握が極めて重要である,
