In the cold storage room "HIMURO", which is widely used for storing agricultural products, the temperature is 2〜3℃ and the elative humidity is about 95%. It is said that the suitable storing condition of onions is 0℃ of low temperature and 70%RH of middle humidity. If we use the HIMURO for storing onions, we must degrade the humidity continuously. In this paper, the authors tried to use cryogen composed with snow, water and propylene glycol (PG), to establish new dehumidification system by freezing point depression.
