In this study, a technique of analysis for lateral deformation of sand deposits is proposed. The characteristics of elastic modulus of ground were detailedly investigated in advance and were quantifed. The results obtained from this analysis, which is based on the change in rigidity of ground, are also compared with those of the model test.
