The electrode of vibrator is divided into two parts. One electrode is used a driving electrode, the other is the floating electrode. By exchanging the terminals from the two electrodes, a slider moves into two directions. By measurements of vibration velocity on circumferential surface of the vibrator, it was confirmed that the operations were caused by the change of vibration mode.
