The flows are analysed on the basis of the local blade element theory of H. J. Stewart (AIAA Journal, 14, 11(1976), p.1524), uing the power coefficient of blade elements defined by Stewart, and introducing "effective power conversion efficiency" defined by the authors for the whole blades.
