The core of liberty in man's political life is a freedom of criticism. This freedom of criticism is composed of freedoms of forming, choosing and realizing critical thoughts. It is said that Japan is a liberal society. Is it a truth or a demagogy in people's political life in Japan? Is Japan filled with freedoms mentioned above or not? This paper tries to analyze two bills as concrete examples, the Party Law and the State Secret Law,and examine the present and the future of political liberty in Japan.
