| 内容記述 | This paper consists of two parts. One sets up the theoretical framework of knowledge representation of metaphor that is based upon the analysis of the Japanese traditional short and shorter poems;a Waka and a Haiku，in which real and imagery environments are found out to be important. The real environment includes real natural situations(RNS) and real psychological situations(RPS). The imagery environment makes it sure to have general imagery situations(GIS) and specific imagery situations(SIS). An understanding of metaphor depends upon the fusion processes of four kinds of situations; that is， the fusion processes occur strongly when SIS are divergent into RNS and RPS while RNS and RPS are opposite to GIS and SIS distinctly. Another part is the section to prove the theoretical framework discussed above experimentally. Stepwise data-analysis of 85 students who read the simple metapor “The snake is progressing straight forward to the caputred" revealed that the framework showed a way to understand the metaphor. | |||||||||||||
