Lawrence was a great novelist who constantly pursued the truth or life during his career as a writer. In fact, Lawrence described himselfes a "religious, earnest, suffering man" as early as in 1914. But this unfinished novel Mr Noon is a richly comic novel and helps to modify that reputation. We have to realize another aspect of Lawrence.
