In Goethes \"Faust\" one can ffnd an adoption of the first words in the Gospel of St. John Starting with \"In the beginning was the word\", (after M. Luther) Faust, however, gives a slightly different image of what he thinks might be a translation of the old Hebrew word dabar and says, \"In the beginning was the act\" and later, \"In the beginrring was the mind\". This has been quite often discussed but rnost likely not frorn the viewpoint of saṃskāra.
