That accident spread invisible radioactive material in large quantities. Opposition to nuclear power generation has increased greatly. However, few are sure that renewable energy alone can replace nuclear power generation. Solar photovoltaic and wind power generation costs are high, and they are a relatively unstable source of energy compared with nuclear power generation and thermal power generation. In the near future, in order to develop renewable energy efficiently, the separation of electrical power production from the power distribution and transmission process will occur. When that happens, the electricity market will become much more competitive.
