をはじめとする様々な特異な性質を有することから,PhC を利用した小型で高性能な光デバイスの実現のための研究が活発に行われている.平面光波回路への応用が期待されるスラブ型PhC では,通常TE 波あるいはTM 波のいずれかにのみPBG が存在するが,PhC 構造を工夫することで同一周波数帯で両方の偏波に対してPBG が存在する完全PBG を実現することができる.本研究では,エアホール型と誘電体ロッド型の複合格子であるエアリング型PhC を考え,より広帯域な完全PBG を実現するための寸法最適設計を行っている.完全PBG を有するPhC を用いることで,TE,TM
