象に、既存の「サバイバル日本語」教材を用いて実施した授業実践と調査の結果を報告し、それ に基づいて、安定的出席や学習時間の確保が難しい一方で、研究室コミュニティにおいて日本語 の話し言葉に日常的に接している留学生を対象とした日本語教育の方針と内容を検討する。学習 者がそれぞれの環境を生かし日本語を主体的に学習していくための動機付けとなることを目標 に、①週 1 回×10 回完結のコース、②通常の初級授業に入る前の導入コースを試行し、教室外で の日本語使用と観察の促進を重視した活動を取り入れた授業を行った。学習者による評価は概ね 良好であったが、提示した表現が実際の場面での使用や理解と必ずしも結びついていないケース
