Numerical results of TEandTM-wave propagation constants on a three-layer-dielectric slab waveguide and a slabwaveguide with periodic thin conductor show that estimating value of condition numbersof HTFEM matrices at computed solutions or changing an integral path in SSM may pointout nonphysical solutions. Moreover, the three-layer-dielectric slab waveguide’s resultsshow that propagation constants computed by SSM with proper parameters
