編の物語テキストに確認されており、当該構造が見いだされる範囲については、異郷訪問譚の範囲に限定するべきではないことが指摘されている。ただし、大喜多（2016）および大喜多（2017）が指摘した事例数は決して多いとは言えない。そこで、本稿では、旧約聖書を検討した大喜多（2017）の知見を前提に、そもそも聖書テキストには、異郷訪問譚とは言えないにもかかわらず、裏返し構造になりやすい性質があると言えるか否かの確認を行うべく、今まで検証されてこなかった、新約聖書（日本聖書協会1989）に収納された物語を題材に、裏返し構造を当てはめる観点による分析を行った。なお、本稿では、新約聖書に収納された「マタイによる福音書」の巻頭の5
