 note = {application/pdf, The aim of this short report is to review an Icelandic speech database compiled by Tokyo Institute of Technology. A particular attention will be paid to PBtext Corpus (originally termed The Jensson Corpus/Jensson-málheildin), one of the three corpora in the database, which includes 256 interrogative sentences with several sentence constructions elicited from 20 native speakers (13 male/7 female) of Icelandic. The corpus will be of great significance in the linguistic research of Icelandic, particularly in the descriptive study of intonation, though it contains defects in several respects. This report shall point out those imperfect points so that those involved in phonetic/phonological studies of Icelandic may put the corpus to practical use in their research.},
