The dynamic response of a two layered concentric cylinder, which is an idealized model for reinforced concrete or concrete filled steel pile, is studied by making use of the three dimensional elasticity theory. The discussion is focused on the influence of the load frequency to the displacements and stresses of the annular cylinder which is subjected to a partially distributed normal force on the outer surface, and supported simply at both ends. The numerical calculations are carried out for several ratios of the diameter of the cylinder and the frequency of load. |
